Structure Engineer is a position in the oil & gas industry, specifically in Engineering Companies, responsible for designing offshore oil drilling platform structures. To apply for this position, you should master at least these structural analyses:
A. Inplace Analysis = analysis of the offshore platform during operation.
B. Preservice Analysis = analysis of the platform structure during construction & installation, consisting of:
a. Load Out Analysis = analysis while the platform is loaded out from the yard onto the transport vessel
 b. Transportation Analysis = analysis while the platform is on the vessel heading to the oil well location
 c. Lifting Analysis = analysis while the platform is lifted by the vessel crane to be placed on the Jacket structure.
